Seniors For Safe Driving Class

March 18th beginning at 9:00 a.m.

At the Avonmore Center

Cost is $16.00.

Anyone who is due to take their refresher course in 2019, please contact Karen at the Avonmore Center.  This program is available to persons 55 and over to receive a discount on their car insurance. Course details are at the Center.  Please sign up for lunch by March 13th.  Call and sign up for the class at the Avonmore Center at 724-697-4014.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

Health and Wellness

The Health and Wellness Program focuses on health promotion and disease prevention activities for older Pennsylvanians. The overall goal is to promote optimum health and well being with a special focus on exercise, nutrition, chronic conditions,  injury prevention and medication management.

Yoga has been shown to help alleviate or reduce many of the health challenges facing seniors.  Wednesdays @ 10:00



Join us at Roaring Run for a morning bike ride.  Wednesdays @ 9:00, weather permitting.  Check above for final go/no go decision.

Volunteer Program

Much of what we do here at the center is accomplished by our members and volunteers. We ask our members and volunteers to help make a difference for everyone at the center. There are opportunities in many areas and programs for people to lend a helping hand. There is no greater reward than the smile on someone's face for helping to make a difference in their life.

If you are interested in volunteering or lending a helping hand, please contact the Supervisor at (724) 568-2692.

You must be 50 years or older to join.  A yearly $24 membership donation will give you a membership card and the monthly newsletter will be mailed to you.



Lunch reservations are needed no later than 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, before the week you plan to attend. 

Lunch is served:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at Noon.

Wednesday at 11:30 a.m.
