Mardi Gras Bingo

We will be having a Mardi Gras themed bingo on Tuesday February 25th at 1:00 p.m. The cost for this bingo will be the same as our Wednesday Bingo with the same pay outs. There will be NO WEDNESDAY BINGO on February 26th due to Ash Wednesday. Food will be available to purchase as well as our regular chips, pop and water. Also, there will be a grand surprise for whomever gets the baby in the cake! Please plan on attending and sign up no later than Friday, February 21st at 1:00 p.m. so that we know how many to plan for. We hope to see you all there!

Health and Wellness

The Health and Wellness Program focuses on health promotion and disease prevention activities for older Pennsylvanians. The overall goal is to promote optimum health and well being with a special focus on exercise, nutrition, chronic conditions,  injury prevention and medication management.

Yoga

Yoga has been shown to help alleviate or reduce many of the health challenges facing seniors.  Wednesdays @ 10:00

 

Biking

Join us at Roaring Run for a morning bike ride.  Wednesdays @ 9:00, weather permitting.  Check above for final go/no go decision.

 

Tai Chi

 

Indoor Walking

Follow along with a video that gives you an alternate workout to walking around a track.

 

AARP Driver Exercise

Daily flexibility exercises as recommended by the AARP Driver Safety Program.

 

Nutrition

Learn about healthy cooking and eating.

 

Social Activities

Keep your mind sharp and your spirits high by participating in our social activities.

Volunteer Program

Much of what we do here at the center is accomplished by our members and volunteers. We ask our members and volunteers to help make a difference for everyone at the center. There are opportunities in many areas and programs for people to lend a helping hand. There is no greater reward than the smile on someone's face for helping to make a difference in their life.

If you are interested in volunteering or lending a helping hand, please contact the Supervisor at (724) 568-2692.

Membership

You must be 50 years or older to join.  A yearly $24 membership donation will give you a membership card and the monthly newsletter will be mailed to you.

 

Lunch

Lunch reservations are needed no later than 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, before the week you plan to attend. 

Lunch is served:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at Noon.

Wednesday at 11:30 a.m.
